  • RB Alvin Pearman Country Day, Charlotte NC *** 36 -- Instant impact player, had an outstanding 2002 until he tore up a knee.   Healthy in 2003, split time with Lundy and was a receiving threat.   Had an impressive 2004, drafted by Jacksonville. +++++
  • OL Elton Brown Hampton, Hampton VA ** 96 -- Started several games as a true freshman. Best blocker in the ACC as a junior, first team all ACC as a senior.   Drafted by Arizona. +++++
  • LB Melvin Massey Warwick, Newport News VA *** 32 -- Backup nose tackle most of his career. +

  • QB Marques Hagans Fork Union Military Academy, Charlottesville VA ** UR -- Redshirted, then proved too talented to keep off the field at multiple positions.  Starter at QB in 2004.  Good but not great year, primarily the team focused on the running game so he only threw nine touchdowns and led the team to eight wins.  Picked the team up on his shoulders in 2005 in several games.  ++++
  • CB Jermaine Hardy Havgrave Military Academy, Chatham VA ** UR -- Starts at safety in 2004, moved there from starting at corner in 2003 when Willie Davis was injured.   +++
  • WR Ottowa Anderson Norview, Norfolk VA *** 41 -- Primary receiver in 2003, suspended from the team in 2004. Will return in 2005, probable starter.   ++
  • QB Heath Miller Honaker, Honaker VA ** 65 -- Redshirted, then became an amazing tight end over the past two years. Best TE in the country in 2004.   Became the best TE in ACC history.  With nothing left to prove, declared for the NFL draft, picked late 1st round by Pittsburgh. +++++
  • LB Bryan White Webb, Knoxville TN * UR -- Started a few games but was later beaten out by Bedesem.   Injured in 2004.  A backup in 2005 but could not find playing time with LBs this deep.  ++
  • TE Patrick Estes Benedictine, Richmond VA **** 6 -- Played as a true freshman, later beaten out by Miller. Huge, 280+.  Started some games as a second TE. First string almost anywhere else.  NFL draftee, starter at tackle. +++

  • LB Alex Hall Carroll, Corpus Cristi TX * UR -- Four year practice player.

  • DT Robert Jenkins Milford Academy, Milford CT * UR -- Denied by UVa admissions, went prep school, then Maryland.
  • S Randy Jones Richmond County, Rockingham NC **** 15 -- Car accident ended his career after a redshirt season.
  • DT Mawase Falana Northeast, St. Petersburg FL ** 72 -- Went to Purdue (?) or lower level school instead?
  • WR Scott Robinson Hillsborough, Nesharic Station NJ **** 34 -- Never made an impression, left the team.
  • TE Tyree Spinner Paul VI, Fairfax VA *** 31 -- Transferred to Richmond with his brother after redshirting in 2001.
