  • OL Brad Barnes Grafton, VA 6 6-7 285 -- Became a starter at tackle, solid player. ++++
  • LB Kofi Bawuah Woodbridge, VA 14 6-1 260 Saw some time at defensive end late in his career.  No 5th year. ++
  • WR Kevin Coffey E. Cleveland, OH 6-4 186 -- Big target became a starter, had his best season in 1998 as a junior.  Decent career. +++
  • WR Demetrius Dotson Staten Island, NY 6-0 189 -- Didn't do much to impress early, then suspended for a season (marijuana?).  But by the end of his senior year he had surpassed Coffey and Billy Mcmullen as the best receiver on the team (Mcmullen did not have a good sophomore year). ++
  • DE Donny Green Hampton, VA 20 6-4 210 -- Occasional starter at LB, took a year off for academics. ++
  • DB Antwan Harris Raleigh, NC 5-10 178 -- Backup safetey later moved to corner and started in many games. ++++
  • RB Thomas Jones Appalachia, VA 1 5-10 178 -- Incredible talent from a small school.  First carry from scrimmage netted 57 yards.  Didn't particularly impress otherwise his first two years but put on strength and exploded.  His senior year of over 1900 yards was the best ever for a UVa back. +++++
  • DL Dustin Keith Yorktown, VA 18 6-5 239 -- Occasional starter on the OL. ++
  • DB Tim Spruill Savage, MD 5-9 166 -- Heralded player played well but was occasionally memorably burned at CB. +++
  • LB Byron Thweatt Chesterfield, VA 5 6-2 215 -- Multi year starter at LB. +++
  • RB Patrick Washington Washington, DC 6-2 239 -- Split time at fullback. ++

  • DB Travis Blount Syracuse, NY 6-0 172 -- ??
  • DB Duane Fisher Bel Air, MD 6-2 183 -- ??
  • DE Ben Moore Doraville, GA 6-5 220 -- ??
  • LB Chris Morant Hampton, VA 28 6-2 210 -- ??
  • DB Johnny Ponder Jacksonville, FL 6-3 185 -- Special teams player.  Migranes cut his career short.
  • QB David Rivers Augusta, GA 6-2 196 -- As a junior, became UVa's version of Clint Longley by starting and leading the team to an upset of #7 Georgia Tech (Dan Ellis had a concussion).  He couldn't unseat Ellis (who threw ten touchdowns in the next two games) for the starting job and transferred to Western Carolina. +
  • DB Jason Small San Pedro, CA 6-0 180 -- ??
  • TE Adam Westcott The Woodlands, TX 6-6 227 -- ??  Long snapper?
  • DB T. J. Williams College Park, GA -- ??
