  • QB Aaron Brooks Newport News, VA 5 6-3 176 -- Two year starter who occasionally tried to overstep even his own tremendous talent.  Was too erratic to win the starting job in 1996, but came on in late 97 and 98 to show laser like accuracy.  But even as a pro he still makes boneheaded decisions, trying to force passes, not running when he can, or making an attempt when he should throw it away. ++++
  • DB Adrian Burnim Durham, NC 6-2 188 -- Occasional starter at safety, took a year off for academics but came back. ++
  • OL Fady Chamoun Youngstown, OH 6-4 275 -- Starter on the OL as a senior. ++
  • WR Germaine Crowell Winston-Salem, NC 6-3 184 -- Showed promise as a true freshman, followed up with three outstanding years. +++++
  • DB Anthony Poindexter Forest, VA 1 6-1 180 -- Redshirted (injured foot), then for 3.75 years was the best safety in UVa history.  As feared a hitter as there ever has been in the ACC.  Had his knee torn in half making a tackle late senior year, which ended his college career and for all practical purposes a pro career.  Was voted ACC Defensive POY anyway. +++++
